The article Bullying and Eating Disorders purpose is to inform reader that bullying can affect not only the victim but also the bully. They believe that you need help whether you are the bully or the victim. The article has been written by the British charity beat, they wrote this article after interviewing 600 adolescents that have suffered through anorexia and bulimia. The survey that they had them take showed that 91% of them had been bullied and about 46% said that bullying had contributed to there eating disorder. This data helps provide the facts that make this article reliable. Though there is no conflicting evidence in this article they say that bullies can develop disorders due to their bullying and that it is not only the victim that develops the disorders. There is no bias or slant in this article. They talk about other things that cause victims of bullying to develop eating disorders such as low self esteem, or being called fat and also if there are family issues and the on top of that there is bullying. Overall this is a reliable article, and it has information that helps readers to understand where bullying stands in teens developing eating disorders due to it.
